Soulful Sundown is a contemplative evening service held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month (except July and August). Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the gathering focuses on a selected topic, and intersperses brief readings and music with quiet periods for reflection and meditation. A special sharing period provides an optional opportunity for those present to comment on the service readings or their experiences and feelings of the time. Past topics have ranged widely, from seasons to poetry to religious chant, with a special annual “Yule Spiral” ceremony held in December.
A calming, focused time to reflect on the time past and the week ahead, Soulful Sundown can be both restful and energizing. Participants have called it “restorative”….”brings balance to my soul”….”clears my mind”. The smaller group that attends provides intimate and comfortable companionship for your spiritual journey.
