UUFCC Hospitality

Welcome to the information center for the Hospitality Teams at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County (UUFCC)!

The Hospitality Teams are an organizational method for getting different tasks done on Sunday mornings, while providing time for interaction and conversation between congregants. Click
here to see a presentation which discusses what the teams are and how they work in greater detail. (Click here for the handout that goes along with the presentation.) This presentation was created because we are in the process of sharing this idea to other congregations in our area.   We have presented at the Murray Grove Homecoming celebration and at the Joseph Priestly District Spring conference.  Eventually we'll get out to the UU General Assembly.

We have 5 teams, which take turns providing hospitality to our congregation. The teams are: The Blessed Bees, The Ever-Red-Es, The Helping Hands, The Ladybugs, and The Service Stars. For the team schedule,
click  here

Members of the Hospitality Teams participate in a variety of activities on Sunday mornings from arriving early to make coffee or greet, to staying late to clean up after the social hour after the service, and so much in-between! For descriptions of the different jobs, and what is accomplished and when, click here .

Team facilitators are on duty on a particular Sunday morning from beginning to end to help provide continuity between tasks and on-the-job training/reminders, as necessary :). For a checklist of activities team facilitators look for click  here

Team communicators let their team members know when their team will be on duty, create the sign-up schedule, and let their team know when their team party will be. For a list of communicator activities, click here
